Westpile was contracted by VINCI Construction UK to provide the foundations and piling package on the new Welcome Building as part of the latest £54m redevelopment, which will put Eastbourne on the map as a top cultural, sporting and conference destination.
The new Welcome Building will provide a fully accessible entrance to the Congress Theatre, two new large conference spaces, a central box office, hospitality areas and a coffee and wine bar with views across the tennis lawns to the International Tennis Centre.
Westpile was contracted by Bowmer and Kirkland to provide the foundations and piling package on a new flagship store for John Lewis and Waitrose.
The development is the John Lewis Partnership’s largest co-located store in the UK at around 72,000 ft2 (6700m2) and forms an integral part of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s ambitious £200million regeneration of Basing View business district.
North Terminal Infrastructure Works, Great Yarmouth Port
Westpile was contracted by J Breheny Contractors to undertake the foundation work for a heavy lifting pad, as part of a wider scheme on the North terminal at Great Yarmouth Port.
When complete, the development will see the port used for the storage and handling of wind turbine equipment at the Outer Harbour. The enhancement of the port infrastructure is part of multi-million pound investment for the Galloper Wind Farm and East Anglia ONE Wind Farm projects.
